CDA is going to Expand Park Road From Rawal Chowk to Taramri Chowk

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will begin building the Park Road extension. The Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, Capt. (Retd) Muhammad Usman Younis, announces that CDA will widen Park Road by introducing more lanes over a stretch of 7.5 kilometers between Rawal Chowk and Taramri Chowk. (According to a news source)

Osman Yunis announced that the project, which would cost Rs. 1.95 billion, will begin in the third week of October 2022. In four months, the project will be finished.

The project’s initial due date was in October 2022. However, the government ultimately opted to make the line operational on August 14, 2022. But the constant rain forced us to abandon such preparations.

The flyover avoids the traffic signal that had previously been put in place, making it easier for people to get to and from Rawalpindi, Bhara Kahu, Murree, and other locations inside Islamabad.

Rawal Chowk Interchange

It’s important to note that even though Rawal Chowk Interchange is still unfinished, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the overhead bridge.

The previous administration has already missed the A completion date for the project of 2021. The PTI-led government once again missed the second deadline in February 2022.
